is our data?
A: All data backed up to our secure
off-site datacentres is transferred over an Internet connection
which uses government standard encryption. By using 128-bit
AES levels of encryption, your data is scrambled and unreadable
until it is decrypted using your unique key, which is only known
to you.
Q: How much will backing up
our data off-site cost?
A: Our solutions are priced purely on
the amount of compressed data you store. The choice on how much
or how little is yours, we would recommend though, everything
that is critical to the effective running of your business.
For as little as £69.90 per annum you can have peace of
mind that your data is safe, secure and error free.
Q: How easy is it to set-up
and use
A: It's very easy. Once our backup manager
software is loaded, which takes just a few minutes, you will
be guided through a short intuitive wizard, which asks you to
select the data for backup, a time and frequency for it to automatically
be performed. Once this is done datahive
does the rest. If a backup needs amending, simply launch the
backup manager consul and through a windows explorer style screen
you can simply alter your backup details.

Q: Will it take a long time
to back up our data
A: The time it takes is all dependant
on the amount of data you require backing up. Once the initial
backup is completed, only the incremental changes are saved
thereafter, which in many cases takes only a few minutes to
complete.
Q: How do we recover our data?
A: Recovering your data is very quick
and easy. Simply launch your backup manager consul, enter your
username and encrypted password and select the 'Restore' section.
Then simply navigate to the data you wish to restore, select
a target directory for downloading the files to and press 'Restore'.
Your data will then be transferred from our off-site servers
over an encrypted connection to your chosen destination. It
is that easy!
Q: Do we need to leave our
computers turned on?
A: Yes. To allow datahive
to backup your data you machine needs to be on. If you feel
uncomfortable with this you can configure datahive
to prompt you when logging off to perform a backup. Once the
backup is complete, datahive
will safely shut your machine off.
Q: Will our backup fail if
our storage is full?
A: This is a possibility. To
overcome this datahive
will send you advanced notification that your storage is getting
towards its upper limits. This gives you ample opportunity to
call our storage team who will immediately increase your capacity,
ensuring you do not miss your next scheduled backup.
Q: Can I access my data when
I'm away from the office?
A: The simple answer is yes! Once you
have subscribed to datahive
you can restore data from any machine in the world as long as
you have your username and encrypted password.
